Beginning Beekeeping Classes & Apprentice Certificate Program

Beginning Beekeeping Classes

The PCBA offers free beginning beekeeping classes to its members. You can start classes at any time. We follow the OSU Master Beekeeping program and utilize The Beekeepers Handbook.

Classes are held year round on the first Monday of the month from 6:15PM to 7:15PM at the Allmendinger Building on the WSU Puyallup Research and Extension Campus near downtown Puyallup, WA. General meetings are held afterwards from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. Please see class schedule below for updates.

To join PCBA, just come to any class or Join PCBA Online Today. PCBA Membership Dues are $30 a year for individuals and families in the same household. Renewal memberships are due the month you originally registered (for example — if you register in March, your next membership renewal is due March of the following year). We accept cash, checks, and credit cards at all classes and meetings.

There will be no classes in the following months: July (due to Annual BBQ Picnic), September (due to WA State Fair), and December (due to Holiday Party).
